Delete your VeriMate account
You can delete your VeriMate account and its data at any time, from the app or by email.
In the app (fastest)
- Open VeriMate and sign in.
- Tap Profile, then ⚙ Settings.
- Tap Delete account at the bottom.
- Type DELETE, enter your password, and tap Delete forever.
By email (if you can't sign in)
Email verimate@proton.me from the address you signed up with, with the subject "Delete my account". We will confirm and delete it within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your profile, main photo, name, age, city and bio
- Your likes, matches, blocks and approximate location
- Your push notification address and your login
- VeriMate's data for your account on the phone used to delete it
What may be kept
- Messages you sent stay visible to the person you sent them to until their account is also deleted.
- Safety reports involving your account may be kept for up to 12 months to protect other members.
